A web-based solution for operational support in banking

The project

Working with one of the leading players in the banking sector, the project consisted of developing a web-based portal to support all daily operations executed by the company’s clients and partners. ALTER SOLUTIONS was then also responsible for maintaining the platform, launching new pages on a daily basis.

The project also included the development of new applications, using a wide range of technologies and frameworks for a multi-module platform, including Java, tomcat, WebLogic, Eclipse and REST.

Challenges

  • Working with an international banking institution, the project required a set of processes and methodologies which required some time for the team to adapt to;
  • The complexity of the project required exploring and working with a wide range of technologies and frameworks.

The customer

Headquartered in Spain, the customer is a major financial group, and a leading player in the banking sector on a European level. It conducts insurance banking activities and investments in international banks and in leading companies in the sector.
